The Crown, Grafton Street, Kemp Town
Host: Maureen Chilton
The Crown, built in the early 1700's is one of those gems of a pub which can be found in many towns and cities. It is a small pub, fully oak panelled with a large open fire. The Crown is a very snug and warm pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The Host, Maureen is Kemp Towns longest serving landlady or landlord having been in The Crown almost twenty years. It is a very clean pub which is shown off well by the large area of stained glass at the front of the building. The Crown has a strong racing theme.
The Crown Flowers (real ale), Harveys Best (real ale), Strongbow, Guinness, Stella Artois, Heineken, Worthington Best Bitter, and Whitbread Mild. Good beer in good condition.
