From the outside the Hanbury is reminiscent of the Royal Pavilion in Brighton as its large function room is roofed in a similar style minaret. Inside it has a homely feel with a very nice atmosphere. The entire pub is oak panelled from floor to ceiling and at one end there is a large fish tank built into the wall. The main bar is small but very personal. The clientel is of an older local nature who are very friendly and talkative. This is a pub full of character and characters.
The Hanbury sells Bass (real ale), Guinness, Carling, Caffreys, and Dry Blackthorn Cider on draught. All the drinks tried were in good condition. In our opinion, definately worth a pint.
The Hanbury does not offer food although there are free bar snacks to be had on a Sunday
