. The Stag is a Shepherd Neame public house, the only Neame pub in Kemp Town. It has recently been tastfully re-furbished and several alterations have been made. The main being the creation of a thirty seat plus carvery at one end of the establishment. The pubs shape internally is unusual based on a long 'L' shape. The Stag has interesting fixtures and fittings that blend well into their surroundings. The Stag has a mixed clientele, with the older folk being knowledgable locals. There is a nice friendly atmoshere which we found very pleasant.
