The Wellington is possibly the most popular pub in Kemp Town. It has an exceptionally friendly landlord who maked all new-comers feel welcome. The Wellington is a very keen rugby pub with many of the regulars being players or ex-players with the vast majority sourcing form Brighton Rugby Club. In addition to sports The Wellington does lots of work for local Charities, with several projects always in hand. The pub is local orientated but visitors are always welcome. The Wellington has two bars and is based on a 'U' shape.

The Wellington sells on draught Youngs (real ale), Bass (real ale), Harveys (real ale), Guinness, Dry Blackthorn Cider, Tennants, Grolsch, and Carling Black Label. All the beers in The Wellington are in good condition.

Food is generally unavailable in The Wellington although Mon-Fri it is possible to get a sandwich. Free food is available on a Sunday and on big rugby match days ther is generally excellent authentic curries on offer.
